Aboriginal Art Centre Database Development
The aim of this project is to create a database that stores all artwork and artist information and which will interface with any database driven online gallery, as well as accounting software. The database is currently in use in several Art Centres. More features are added as a new Art Centre purchases the product. Filemaker 7 is the development tool.
Araluen Cultural Precinct Collection Database & Training
Araluen Cultural Precinct have engaged Metis Development to update their existing Filemaker collection database, and integrate it with a series of other local databases. Following this update training will be provided followed by further, more targeted updates, if required. This project is ongoing during 2006.

Central Australian Aboriginal Congress Information & Records Management Consultancy
Metis Development prepared a series of reports and recommendations to the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress regarding their current IT, Information Management and Records Management strategies. The documents included expected costs, risk management practices and a detailed plan, a series of incremental steps that could allow this medium sized health organisation to digitise and control their records, documents and workflow processes.
Techlink ITTTS Project
Providing IT Support, Consultancy, Development and Training in Remote Central Australian Communities as part of the Techlink delivery of the Desart auspiced ITTTS Project. Metis Development provided training to Indigenous community members in the areas of Internet Banking and Internet use. IT consultancy was provided to Art Centres and other community offices in the areas of information systems, information management, database administration and general IT troubleshooting and support that is required in remote Australia. The project ranges east to west from Docker River to Lake Nash, and north to south from Tennant Creek to Watarru.
Footprints Forward Database
Footprints Forward are an Indigenous job placement organisation. They were using an access database that did not provide adequate reporting. The development work centred on modifying the database and its reports to seemlessly present to the government all of their reporting requirements.
Red Cross Database
Upgrading the Alice Springs Meals on Wheels and Homecare databases to provide more effective reporting, debtors reporting, client information and easier user interfaces.
Anangu Pitjantjatjara Council Permits Database
Upgraded the permits database to more efficiently track current and past permit holders, to allow for easier recording of permits and quicker permit dissemination as well as other reporting tools. |
